Church
Goals
"Pressing
and Progressing to the Promise"
- Church Theme for
2012
We are committed to being soldiers in the
army of God. We realize that we are in a war that we
did not declare, but we must fight. Therefore, our
goals are to win in these five battles.
 |
The Battle for the Hearts and Minds
of the People
Living Faith Covenant Church is in a
battle to win the trust of those whom we serve. By
winning their trust, we are better positioned to
assist them in the process of critically rethinking
ideas used as tools for their oppression. |
| |
|
 |
The Battle for Social and
Economic Empowerment
Living Faith Covenant Church realizes we
must empower others to address temporal concerns that so
easily distract us from our spiritual development,
particularly as it relates to finance and public policy. |
| |
|
 |
The Battle for Health and Wholeness
Living Faith Covenant Church is
concerned about the physical, mental and emotional
well-being of those whom we serve. These are areas
that present a great distraction from spiritual
development, while challenging the boundaries of
spiritual values. |
| |
|
 |
The Battle for
Spiritual Liberation and Maturity
A primary goal of Living Faith
Covenant Church is to confront oppressive theology and
religious teachings on an individual and collective
basis. The purpose of the confrontation is to create
an environment where spiritual growth is unimpeded. |
| |
|
 |
The Battle to Support
the Ministries of this Church with Excellence
In order for us to do the kind of
ministry we are proposing, the infrastructure of our
church must be sound. Thus, we seek to not only
strengthen it, but to operate in the spirit of
excellence. |
